The BIG Picture!

Alright ... I promised the humiliating reveal today... and I've put it off long enough... here it is, the BEFORE picture.  All I can say is, I can't wait for the AFTER!!!

190 POUNDS!?!?!  UGH!!!!   I would like to lose a good 40 to 50 of this!
Here are my measurements.... I'm 5'4"
Measurements across the breasts 40"
around the waist 38"
below the belly button 41"
around the butt? LOL  44"
Around the upper, fatty part of the thigh...obviously I have no idea how I'm supposed to be measuring here it's  25"
around the upper fatty part of the arm 13"

There it is... Me, exposed.... the sooner this is the 'BEFORE' picture, the better!

  3. I SO admire your bravery! Between June and November, I lost 40+pounds. I still have 20 to go, but have gotten too relaxed (at lease I haven't gained, right?!). You're inspiring me too get back on board! I'm more of a walker and hiker than runner. But, anything that's gets ya moving, right? Though, I read your other blog and might run for margaritas! ;)

  4. Oh Thank you!! I so admire your photography, wow! I wish we lived closer, I need a good photographer and walking/hiking buddy! Congrats on losing 40 plus pounds, Wow! That's amazing.. tell me how did you do it? Any advice? Walking and hiking are much better on the body and joints than running.. so if you don't have the desire to run you are all the better off for it in my opinion. I have no idea why I enjoy it, I must love pain or something! Mmmm-argaritas! ;) That is worth running for! Thanks for following along and the encouragement! I wish you all the best with your final 20!! We can do it! ;)

  5. I finally just decided to get healthy. Something to do with turning 30, knowing I was probably done having babies. I made sure not to ever call it "trying to lose weight" (especially with little girls in the house...it seems like every woman I knew throughout my childhood was always "dieting"). So, I accepted myself with where I was and just started paying attention to everything I ate. Made everything count. I made sure to eat enough calories (I'd sometimes eat under 1000cal a day if I didn't pay attention). Put protein into every meal. And, I got a bit nutty about "real" food, sugar, and bpa. As I went along, I learned what works and doesn't for me. If I eat chips and salsa, I'll gain 2lbs. I know it's just water weight, but it's good incentive not to cheat. I needed a true mindset change. Oh, and I think the sunshine helps. I've come to realize that living in colder/darker climates makes me eat! Seasonal blues or something?

  6. I definitely get what you are saying... about positive body image! I'm not obsessive about it at all, and accept myself as I am... My parents never had issues with weight but they never worried about it either. I think it makes a difference in kids and the way they view themselves! Good blog entry idea, actually!
I'm very careful to try not to use words like 'fat' or even 'skinny' in front of my kids.... because even boys can develop a complex. My husband is constantly putting his body down... and I think he gets the tendency from his parents... anyhow... Good for you! Sounds like you've made some really positive and healthy choices and it paid off! I so wish we lived some place warmer and sunnier, I definitely struggle with the seasonal blues!! You are luck you got outta here!
